Businesses, government agencies, and private companies now use, and profit from, facial recognition technology at a nearly unbelievable rate. The prevalence of such software poses immense repercussions and dangers, from inaccuracy to direct targeting, many of which municipalities are now grappling with. During this session, hear how Baltimore City Council recently passed legislation banning city residents and businesses from using facial recognition technology and what lessons they learned in doing so
